Because microdermabrasion is a treatment that can be adapted to different skin needs, it is suitable for most skin types, with the exception of a few conditions. So yes, this peeling with microcrystals is an option if you have sensitive skin, in which case we do a more superficial exfoliation. In contrast, if you have firm, thicker skin, we will do a deeper exfoliation. Also, our skin expert can spend a bit longer on treating certain areas, for a more targeted approach to tackling your skin problems.

Microdermabrasion is an effective, but mild, non-invasive treatment. Microcrystals are sprayed onto your skin, loosening any dead skin cells and impurities. These are immediately sucked up again and removed, along with the crystals. It is a bit like sandblasting your skin, but much more gentle.

That said, there are a few contraindications to microdermabrasion. Do you have eczema, rosacea (extreme couperose skin), psoriasis, skin infections, skin cancer, active acne or a cold sore? Or do you take prescribed vitamin A medication? If so, we don’t recommend having microdermabrasion.
