Our advice? Choose a day cream that protects your skin well and remember to apply sunscreen!
Blue light, too, can have a negative effect on your skin. It increases the production of free radicals, causing premature skin ageing. Age spots are one of the best-known consequences of overexposure to blue light. Sure, you could try limiting your screen time, but those of us who use a computer for work will still be exposed to blue light for quite a few hours. So, make sure to protect your skin by regularly adding a serum to your daily skincare routine. Choose a product that protects your skin from free radicals. Retinol, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C and E are the magic ingredients here.
As you get older, elastin and collagen levels decline. And yes, these happen to be the very substances that keep your skin supple, yet firm. So, as part of your daily skincare routine, choose a night cream that contains these ingredients.
We have talked quite a bit about moisturising and what skin creams to apply, but cleansing is just as important, of course. For instance, it’s a bad idea to go to bed without removing your make-up. Every morning and evening, take the time to cleanse your skin with a cleansing milk and lotion, and try to scrub your skin once a week with a gentle peeling product.
