The health benefits of saunas are numerous! They enhance blood circulation, ensuring nutrients and oxygen are delivered more efficiently while waste products are eliminated more quickly. Alternating between the heat of the sauna and cold temperatures also helps your body adapt to winter weather and strengthens your immune system. And, of course, saunas are incredibly relaxing - even for children!

House rules for a sauna day with children

To ensure a peaceful and enjoyable experience for everyone, we kindly ask you to follow these house rules:

  • Peace and calm must be maintained at all times. This means everyone (including children) should remain quiet - no shouting, loud noises, running, or jumping into the pool.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times while in our complex. They cannot stay in the pool on their own while you go into a sauna.
  • In the saunas, always sit with your entire body on a towel.

Tips for children going to the sauna

Children obviously need to learn to cope with the sauna and wellness experience, not only in terms of behaviour but also physically. Therefore, here are a few more tips to make it as pleasant as possible for them:

  • Go for saunas with a lower temperature.
  • Start slowly, about five minutes is often enough. Keep an eye on them, as children find it harder to sense when it is too hot.
  • Cooling down is important for them too, but take it easy. Going straight into the cold plunge pool is never a good idea. Let them walk around and breathe some fresh air first, then take a lukewarm or cold shower. For example, try the cold water hose: start by cooling their arms and legs, and then, if necessary, let them stand under it with their whole body.
  • Provide sufficient rest breaks between sauna sessions.
  • Make sure they drink enough.

By the way, did you know that sauna masters tour our thermal baths all day long? If you have a question or notice something, speak to them, and they will solve your problem immediately!

We wish you lots of sauna fun.
