Dos and don’ts

  • Do you like to bring a bag in which you carry your sunscreen, book, and other items when visiting us? Only clear bags are allowed at our wellness centres. No clear bag? Just ask one at reception.
  • You are not allowed to reserve loungers and there really is no need to. With plenty of sunbathing places available in our garden and on the terrace, you will definitely find a good one.
  • In the sauna, you must always sit or lie on a towel, with your whole body on the towel.
  • Leave your mobile phone at home or in your locker, the use of it is forbidden in our public baths. This is to protect everyone’s privacy and to avoid noise nuisance. What’s more, you will experience for yourself how wonderful it is to be able to enjoy a couple of hours of peace and quiet …
  • Silence is golden, everyone comes here for some well-deserved rest. You can, of course, chat to each other in a whispering voice but please make sure not to disturb the other sauna guests.
  • Don’t forget your spa slippers and bathrobe. For health and safety reasons, we ask you to always wear your spa slippers when walking around our public baths. Want to have something to eat or drink at our restaurant or on the terrace? Please wear your bathrobe.
  • Are you planning to visit the swimwear area? Make sure to bring the right swimwear. For ladies, the swimwear dress code is a bikini or bathing suit; for men, short, tight-fitting swimming trunks i.e. no long and/or loose-fitting swimming shorts.
  • We have a no-smoking policy in our public baths. Desperate for a cigarette (or want to vape)? We have provided a dedicated smokers’ area, which is the only place where you are allowed to smoke/vape.

A few more tips

Is this your first ever sauna visit? Here are our tips to get the most out of your wellness experience:

  • Start with a lower temperature sauna and gradually build up to hotter ones. Also, end the day with a gentle sauna.
  • Take your time to cool down properly and relax in between two sauna rounds.
  • The right way to cool down? Leave the sauna and go outside in the fresh air. Take a few deep breaths in and out. Next, have a cold shower and only after you have done this should you go into the cold plunge pool.
  • Listen to your body. If it is too warm for you (during an Aufguss session, for instance), don’t hesitate to leave the sauna.
  • Don’t stay in the sauna too long. There is an hourglass in all our saunas. Use it if you want to.
  • Dry yourself properly before going in the sauna and always sit or lie down on a towel.
  • Do check out our daily wellness programme. It is displayed on TV screens throughout our public baths. Every day, more than ten different sessions are organised which you, as a sauna guest, can take part in for free.
  • Leaving the sauna and want to put on your bathrobe again? Make sure to take yours and not someone else’s. The same goes for your spa slippers and towel.
  • Intimate acts (including consensual) are not allowed.
