The active ingredients can penetrate a lot more deeply at night because your skin isn’t busy protecting itself from the sun, wind, pollution and other external influences.
Don’t make the mistake of using too many products: a serum plus a mask plus a cream is too much of a good thing and a sure way to irritate your skin. Also, don’t forget to cleanse your skin thoroughly before applying your night product.
Try to sleep between 11 pm and 4 am as much as possible. These are the most productive hours for your skin. Wash your bedding frequently and choose a soft fabric for your pillowcase to protect your skin as much as possible. A proper beauty sleep takes about seven hours on average. Lack of sleep breaks downs the protective mechanism of your skin.
